New to the board...Question about logistics of an outdoor event.

Hi! I have never posted here, but I do have a question if you ladies would be willing to help.

We are planning to have half of the event outside (ceremony, dancing, bar setup) and half of the event indoors (dinner).

My question is: My venue doesn't have an actual bar set-up since it is actually a historic house that isn't normally used for weddings. We are planning on setting the bar up in a gazebo right outside the back door. Do we rent a fountain soda machine for the bar (is that even possible?) or do we just use 2 liters or cans of soda?

I hope this makes sense. LOL...I am sure that I am just over-thinking things.

It's normal to have cans or at the largest liter bottles of soda at an outdoor bar. 2 liter bottles would be pretty cumbersome to pour drinks with. To set up a soda machine you'd need a carbon dioxide tank and a water line to hook the machine up to (to dilute the syrup) - probably not possible.
