Belly Pic/Shower Dress?/Faux Linen Glaze

So I need some advice...

The fabulous black dress that I ordered is not freakin' here yet. However, the necklace arrived and I love it!!

I found this dress today but I don't know if it is too much.

(Don't mind my face. I had to use the timer. And my hair was up in a bun all day, so it looks funky.)

The neckline with the necklace

I am not sure about the pintucks with the details of the necklace.

I LOVE the necklace! I see what you're saying about the pintucks w/ the necklace, but I think it's okay. It helps that the pink of the flower matches the dress so well! And the dress looks comfy and super cute, so I say go for it!

Your base layer is the same color as our bedroom- good choice

Aww I love it. You look like a lovely momma-to-be! I think the necklace + the texture is fine. (Also, I don't know if you were planning on wearing those shoes, but I also think they are adorable.)

I love the painting techniques going on here! It looks GREAT! I can't wait to see more photos are you two keep at it!

I love the dress and the necklace! I agree with Narwhal, if you pull your hair back, even if it's just tucked behind your shoulders, it will be fine. I remember those shoes, weren't they wedding shoes? I remember getting major shoe envy from them!

I am going to wear those shoes. Good memory, KD. They are my wedding shoes. I wear them all the time! I got them at Zappos. Although, it doesn't seem like they have the version that I got anymore.

The necklace is from Every Day Fairytale on Etsy.

The faux treatment gets one more coat. The next one goes horizontally to create a weave texture. It was actually VERY easy. It took less time to do the glaze than the base coat.

Off I go to finish prepping our house for my mom's arrival.

Mutley, you look AMAZING. You're absolutely glowing and you look so happy! And, btw, your boobs are enormous. They're like BAM! Right up there. lol

Anywho, I do think the necklace is a lot with the pintucks. But you know, maybe you can rock that so try it with your hair pulled up and see how you feel about it. My accessory choices tend to be very simple, so I might not really know anything.

But I do LOVE the necklace. It's adorable. I swear, you look like you have a watermelon shoved under your dress! You aren't carrying any weight anyplace else.

You look fabulous! I hope that whenever I get preggers I look that good.

Love the dress, and the necklace, but not together. I think the flower part of the necklace is too much. Is there a pin or something? Is it removeable? I dunno...try it with your hair up and maybe it would be better. I'm just partial to hair down (you have such pretty long hair!), but with that and the necklace it looks a bit cluttered.

Good luck on getting the house ready. The painting is stellar!

I love the paint technique and the colors you used.

I also LOVE the necklace and the dress but not sure if I love them together. I'm not a big accessory person but I think if the necklace was a tad shorter or the neckline was a little lower and there was a little more space between them I would love it though because the colors are perfect together and its hard to match things that well. You are a fashionista though so whatever you pick will be great I'm sure!

Haha, I'm sure you all put me to shame regardless of the neckline! And I was just saying visually that I think it woudl look best with a little more space/skin between the two... I suggested shortening the necklace as well.
