My first diy project...personalized hangers!!! (PIP)

I started to tackle my diy list! Even though we are still kinda far out I wanted to get started because my diy list is quite long!! I am happy with the way they came out :) I will probably add ribbon or something rustic to tie in the theme.

  • those look great! this may seem like a bit of a stupid question but how exactly did you make the names? i would love to make some of those for my own wedding, i was looking into buying them but if i can save some money, all the better.

I would def. try it.. Here are some sites that I found helpful:

I as well was looking to save money. I got the hangers from Target (pack of 5 or 6) for $5.00 and the floral wire from Joanne Fabrics for $7.00 You will also need wire cutters, and pliers to squeeze some letters together, but the wire was pretty easy to bend.. You also need a drill for the holes and I used some glue to make sure the wire stayed in the holes. I had to do some names a couple of times. Some tips think about the name and how your going to move the wire before you try to make the letter because it is hard to get the wire to look straight after its been twisted or made into a letter... I also found out drawing the name in pencil helped a lot too because you were able to plan out how you wanted the letter to look. Don't measure the wire to the hanger before the name is made, keep the wire as it comes and work with it from its start point. It is easier to move around when its still nicely together in the circle. I feel looking at the pictures of others hangers helped a lot because you can see how they move the wire around! HTH!</p>
