Venue please help!

I live in Alaska and my FI is currently deployed to Afghanistan. He is from the Boston area so we are getting married in Mass sometime in the fall of 2013. I'm looking for a venue for a guest list of about 75 with a $10,000 budget. I would prefer an Inn or Hotel because we will have some many guests traveling but I'm open to anything. I really appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Re: Venue please help!

  • We are getting married at the Mansfield Holiday Inn-it is beautiful inside! They have an indoor garden type feel in the cocktail/lobby area. The reception room is a standard hotel reception room but the price is super reasonable so we are able to add extras like purple table cloths, up lighting, etc. And Tom, the coordinator is great to work with! I would highly recommend you call and get more information! They have a great package deal as well including DJ, cake, centerpieces, limo, and more!
Good luck and thanks for your fiance's service :)
  • Congrats on your engagement!  You should check out the Hampshire House on Beacon Hill.  I had the same guest count and budget (for the reception) and was able to book a saturday night wedding in the fall (which is rare!).  Happy planning!

Sturbridge, MA!!!! It's perfectly located there is a MA Pike exit less than 10 minutes from the cluster of venues that do weddings. The Publick House is where I got married 5yo married reception on site, 60 people, high brunch 6 rooms for two nights everything included including cake 6 punch bowls full of mimosas and bloody mary under 5,000. They have a ballroom, barn setting, country rooms and grounds for out door events to fit every style. Also Sturbridge Host Hotel does elegant weddings and sturbridge has lots of attractions old sturbridge village and shopping and restaurants AND is within 1 hour of THREE MAJOR AIRPORTS. Every season is beautiful too!!
  • Double tree Bedford Glen  near burlington mall

They have a smaller room to have a wedding in and you can get married outside in this nice area as well.
  • I would second the Sturbridge, MA area but would suggest checking out Old Sturbridge Village for your wedding!!  Nicer than the other options in town, imo, and well within your budget!
