How would you decorate this aisle?

I have some hot pink tulle that matches okay with my fuschia shoes and BM dresses. I have 6 rolls of 25 yards. It is super thin though, so I would have to twist it or something and then drape it between each seat. I don't know how that would look. I also have some tangerine tissue that I can make pomanders out of to put at the top of the arches.

Should I skip the tulle and just do the pomanders (I also have fuschia tissue) or do pomanders and tulle? We can tape them up on the underside of the arm rests. The venue will give us appropriate tape.

Any other ideas I haven't thought of? I am trying to stay away from flowers since they are expensive.

Also, I will have to decorate both sides of both aisles since I am walking down one with my dad and then Chad and I will be walking down the other side after the wedding.

EDIT: I just realized that if I decorate both sides of both aisles, guests can't get to their seats..... What would you do? I am thinking I should do just the pomanders and skip the tulle, even though I paid for it.

  • Honestly it would be very hard i think lol, what about just decorating both edges of the isle you are going to walk down? Each row should have 2 ways to get to it so that should only be 1 side each right?

  • Could you make tulle swags and line both sides of the aisles - but on the floor?  Guests will be able to get into the seats, and your colors will still be lining the aisles.  The only concern is whether you think your guests would be prone to tripping on them.

Alternately, if you don't have enough pomanders to do every row on every side, you could make tulle bows for the rest of the rows.

  • I don't even think I would bother decorating. BUT...if you want to, I would just decorate the aisle that you'll be walking down, leaving the ends open for guests to enter. That's how most people are seated anyways so that they don't walk down the center aisle if there is a runner and so that they can all squish towards the middle and have the best possible view. I would probably focus more on having some decorations around your altar area than that huge space. You don't want it too look sparse and halfway done.

[QUOTE]Maybe you could drape the tulle along the stage instead of in the aisles...

This is what I'd go with.  Or, what Kelsey said.
