  I found that the Melrose Warwick had the best prices for the most "luxury" downtown. The Gaylord is overpriced for what you actually get.

  The Omni in las colinas is very  nice, the gaylord is terrible worst beds I have ever slept in, rock hard

  I stayed at the Melrose of course since it was my venue and it's very nice, nicer than the Omni IMO.  I have heard good things about the Joule downtown also.

  The omni at park west is about 10 mins from the Gaylord - its a beautiful hotel

  We loved our stay at The Joule! The staff was excellent and the hotel itself was very well kept. Friends of our stayed at The Adolphus and really liked it.

  PS--if you are flying out for your honeymoon the next day, both of the Hyatts at the airport are very nice. From the pictures, it looks like the older one is just as nice, and about $50 cheaper than the Grand Hyatt.

  I stayed at the Gaylord and was extremely happy with it.  They even upgraded us to a suite free of charge when we showed up in our wedding attire.

  Aloft (downtown) or NYLO (irwing/ frisco)- very modern and different.
