Please Recommend your Videographer

At first we thought we were not going to have one, but now FI thinks we should.  So now I am trying to get some recommendations.

We went with Hatfield Productions because his prices fit our budget.
We also looked into LifeMark studios - Lifetime - Poetic Cinema...anyone on the knot vendors is a good pick really.

All have great work, but it really depends on your budget and what you're looking for.

Lifemark - they sent us a demo and it was amazing..but he is pricey.  I am in the same boat you are in with having a video.  It's not really in our budget, but I think it would be so cool to have and watch years down the road.  Have you searched craigslist yet?  A lot of girls on here told me to go there for budget weddings or college students looking for work.

Lifetime hands down.  Matt Pine is amazing at what he does though his prices do reflect it.  We decided not to use a videographer, but about 3 months before our wedding I saw the video Matt did for my friends wedding and I knew I had to have him.  Definitely worth the money we paid!!

The best videographer I've seen is Dan at Poetic Cinema.  We weren't necessarily going to book a videographer either, but after I saw his work I had to go with him.

He is not only extremely talented, but also the nicest person you will ever meet and he is truly a pleasure to work with.  www.poeticcinema.com

I used Hatfield Productions - Brett and Lauren were super fun!
They had a combined package with our photographers.
You could ask your photographer if they have any recommendations
You can't go wrong with Poetic Cinema or Lifetime either, but they are pricey :)

We are using Hatfield Productions through Studio 3 Photography. We are doing a photography, videography, photobooth package with them.
    Studio3photographygallery.com and hatfieldproductions.com

We also thought that Matt Pine with Lifetime was amazing, just more than we could afford, and also we really liked poetic cinema and Jeff Harper Video.

We were going to do without videographyt also, and then a friend of ours showed us hers and we instantly changed our minds. Its so different than looking at pictures.

Mark Rohrig was recommended by our photographer and we booked him.  His prices are very reasonable.

We went with Dan at Poetic Cinema and couldn't be more confident in our choice.  His work is the most impressive that I've seen.  He has that unique "cinematic style with a journalistic approach," truly an art. He really captures the emotions of the day.

We are going with Jeff Harper (http://jeffharpervideo.com/) and are happy with our choice.  After meeting with him he had the right energy and was more than competitive with pricing.  We really liked the samples he showed us. Good luck!

Rmax is great, too! And reasonably priced.

When you say affordable how much are you talking? I don't have a ton of money for the videographer but would like one. The cheapest I have seen is over $1,000.

POETIC CINEMA!!! I don't get on these boards much anymore, but I have to recommend Dan without reservation! He was absolutley fabulous--our video is stunning--and was a fantastic guy to have around on our wedding day and after! What a pleasure it was working with him!
