So for whatever reason, FI really really wants to do a choreographed dance as our first dance. I'm definitely down for it! We plan to keep it as a surprise to everyone

However... I've always wanted our wedding song to be Led Zeppelin's Thank You. I feel like there isn't a lot of different dance moves you can do with that song. Also, we are both in LOVE with the song You Are The Best Thing by Ray Lamontange, and think we could do a sweet routine to that song. So here's my idea: We start our dance to Zeppelin, then part way through, have the DJ stop it (perhaps as though there is a malfunction with the equipment), and then bust into You Are The Best Thing.
Now, here's where it gets iffy. My favorite part of Thank You is just before the 2 minute mark ("So today my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles. Thanks to you, it will be done. You, to me, are the only one"). Do you think it would be too drawn out to dance to that for 2 mins, then dance to the other song, which is just under 4 minutes? So that's 6 minutes total... I feel like thats kind of long, but I also think that it won't seem as long if we are doing a routine for over half of it. Also, we are not doing a father/daughter or mother/son dance, so this is the only dance the guests will have to sit through.
What do you all think of this idea?
TIA!
