Poll: bubbles, petals, etc.

What are you all throwing?  I feel like I want to do something.  I'm leaning toward bubbles or ribbon wands.  FI doesn't really think we need anything, but I had wanted to do a sparkler send-off at the end of the night originally, but think it will be too light still.  Sorry, that was a major run-on.  Anyway, what are you guys doing???

Just ordered it today: lavender buds.
Also ordered a mixture of white rose petals and it claims shamrocks and blue hydrangea but the picture sure looks like just greem hydrangea.  Planning on using that mixed with the lavender for "lavender lads" aka flower nephews and pre-lining the aisle if enough.

I'm planning on doing the sparklers for the send off at the end. But nothing for the end of the ceremony.

    We didn't do anything.

I would do bubbles over ribbon wands.

I would recommend trying to find different bubbles than those octagonal ones if you go with bubbles. Just because the past 2 weddings I was at that had those, they were freaking impossible to open! Bride and groom were long gone and FI still couldn't get either open (I had given up).

I'm thinking of doing sparklers for when we leave the church. If not that, then nothing...people can just line the exit and clap for us.

I wouldn't do ribbon wands. That seems very...parade-like...to me. I can't picture grown men waving ribbons.

I think bubbles look really good in pictures! However, one photographer I talked to pointed out that if people are blowing bubbles they can't really cheer. But I think we will still do bubbles!

Bubbles.  I want to do rose petals or lavender but venue won't allow, so I'm doing the bubbles!

Our venue doesn't let us do much of anything. Maybe we should just get all our guests glo-sticks and they can have a 45-second rave...

I really wanted flower petals after the ceremony, but our chapel wouldn't allow it.  So we're using bubbles, which i'm beginning to love!  We're also using sparklers for our send off after the reception.  Our reception site made it clear that they only wanted a limited number of people with sparklers outside, so it won't be too big of a send off or anything.

Wow, I am glad to hear so many of you are using bubbles!  I am starting to love them too.  Kaye, I like your thought about doing both.  Maybe I will just have the WP have sparklers.  Then I can do both!

Doesn't really go with your vintage theme, but still, LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Of course, I will ALWAYS be a bit of a sucker for glowing things. Usually, it's phosphorescent glow-in-the-dark toys and not so much the liquid goo that dies, but still.
