XP Local pumpkin or apple butter

Does anyone know of a local (Mass or New England in general) company that sells small jars of apple butter or pumpkin butter? I would love to do these as favors, but haven't found anything that's quite right.

I know Stonewall Kitchen, which is sort of local being in Maine, but readily available all over, makes both but I can only find it in the full size jars, and I just can't really spend $6 per favor. Plus I would love something a little more local anyway.

Try Hart Farm in Dennis. They make a ton of homemade jelly and stuff like that.

I don't know how creative you want to go with this. So I'm offering a possible idea. Apple butters I found are generally in a huge jar, and I saw 1 small in Stop and Shop.

You could make a huge homemade batch of apple butter with a crock pot (there are recipes online) and you could get the jelly jars and jar them yourself. Then maybe use ribbon and tie the colours and a little cardboard square with info attached?

I am all for DIY, but I'm worried about the sanitation, canning, preserving stuff. I don't know how to do all that and I don't want to give anyone botulism! It does seem they are all in big jars.
