So anybody getting a day of coordinator? I am considering getting one, just because I really don't want to have to worry about a thing the day of the ceremony. If you have one, who'd you use? What responsibilities are you giving her for the day?

I have one (Erin Proud from Proud to Plan) She is wonderful! Very helpful. I am glad I have her. I can't really comment on the day of since my wedding is so far away, but lots of girls on the Philly board that have used her really loved her.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend my DOC right now since I haven't heard from her since our first meeting over 2 months ago, and she hasn't responded to an email I sent her last week. If things improve, I will be sure to give you information on her.

We're definitely having a DOC. I seriously want to put this whole wedding/reception in someone else's hands the day of so fi, myself, or our parents don't have to worry about a thing. If something goes wrong, I don't want to know about it...if everything goes perfect, I don't want to know how it happened or got pulled off.

We've signed on with Jennifer Orsini of Pampered Brides. So far, I've only talked with her one time on the telephone and have exchanged several emails with her. She's super responsive and very easy to talk to. We're hoping to meet with her in person this summer when we go up to NJ to meet with some photographers.

2010 don't judge me for recognizing the name, but is that the same Jenny Orsini from Who's Wedding is it Anyway?

I didn't realize she was from the area. Anyway, I feel the exact same way as you which is why I want to hire one. I want the day of the wedding to be as stress free for me as possible. Anyway, thank you for the recommendation, I will check her out.

Yes, Aneres, thats her! (No judging at all!) I believe that her offices are located more in Northern New Jersey, however some feedback I have seen on her company has been from events in South Jersey.

One thing you have to remember is even if you book with her company, it doesn't necessarily mean that she will be your DOC. If she has multiple events going on the same day, its a possiblity that another member of her staff will be your DOC. I'm totally fine with that. I trust her, I trust her judgement and am sure that she has a great staff. I'm confident everything will run smoothly.

I'm using Erin Proud too and absolutely LOVE her! She's really thorough and has been doing events for a long time, so I know she knows her stuff. Also, she came highly recommended by every one of my other vendors- that was important, since I want everything to run as smoothly as possible. Highly recommend Erin Proud from Proud to Plan. While we booked her as a DOC, she really is so much more than just a DOC. With 2 weeks to go, Erin has proved to be invaluable to me over the past year. My FI, mom, and I have said at least a dozen times over the past 2 weeks how thankful we are to have her help. Love, love, love Erin = )

I agree with PP. We used Erin from Proud to Plan and she went above and beyond what I would expect from a DOC. She also made us great invitations!
