Intro

Hi everyone, my name is Joanna and I'm from Jersey. My wedding is on August 26, 2012 and I would like to lose 15 lbs before then. My goal is to have my dress taken in before the wedding. I would appreciate any support and advice. Hope you all enjoy this beautiful day.

    Assuming you have 15 pounds of fat to reasonably lose, you have PLENTY of time and that is a very realistic goal! 

    That's your long-term goal.. I would suggest making short-term goals so that you don't have to look at the "big picture" as that can be somewhat overwhelming. Break it up into something that will be easier for you to see like 5-5-5. Give yourself the goal of 5pounds of fat loss in the next two months. Sounds reasonable, doable, and not as scary! 
    Everyone here will suggest food blogging so you can see your bad habits (it's a great "wake up call" ) and a mix of cardio and weight-lifting.

    Also, don't just go by the scale! I said specifically "fat loss" because you can lost "bad weight" without actually losing on the scale. for example I weighed myself last week and realized the NUMBER but the same, but I dropped two pounds of fat. That's a win in my book!

  • Welcome!  You can certainly reach your goal, just watch that diet and make sure to do a mix of cario and weights.
