Honeymoon Q-Secrets/Excellence resorts Mexico

I posted this on the honeymoon board as well, but wanted to know if any of you have visited Secrets Maroma or Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico. We are debating which to pick for our October honeymoon so any feedback would be great! Thanks

    We stayed at Secrets Maroma this past October for our HM. We absolutely loved it. I would advise against swim ups anywhere in Mexico at that time, as the water is cold in them that time of year.

    We booked for Excellence Playa Mujeres for our November honeymoon! Have heard great things from our travel agent who goes there twice a year and from the trip advisor reviews!

    We went to Excellence Playa Mujeres and absolutely loved it! If you go I'm sure you have a great time, just read up on the travel warnings to Mexico before you go.

    I went to Excellence in the Dominican this summer and a friend went to the one in Mexico - they are great and highly recomended!

    We went to Excellence Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon in October, we absolutely loved it. I would recommend checking out the forums on trip advisor, they were extremely helpful.

    My FI took me to Excellence Playa Mujeres as a surprise when he proposed. We absolutely loved it. The food and service were both great and you have excursion options if you are interested in that. I highly recommend the room with your very own private rooftop pool!!! We loved it so much, we are going to the Excellence resort in Riviera Maya for our HM in August.

    FI and I have been to Excellence Playa Mujeres also and like PPs said we loved it! No complaints at all! Loved that it's adults only, there are a lot of restaurants to choose from and the food was fantastic.

    Thank you for the feedback. We decided to go with Secrets based on pricing. Very excited...hoping it is a good choice!! Maybe our anniversary trip will be an Excellence!

    My fiance and I booked at Secrets Maroma for this September. Hopefully the weather holds but it has like a 93% approval rating on tripadvisor.com out of over 1800 reviews. That's pretty consistent
