Alterations in Brookfield/Milwaukee Area

Does anyone know of a good & reliable place to get alterations done in the Brookfield area that will take outside dresses?  My bridal place will not alter a bridesmaid dress I have for a friend's wedding in August - I just need th length hemmed.  Any suggestions?

    I used Caron's Bridal Alterations - she is on Capitol near Calhoun.

    Capitol Cleaners in Pewaukee. They are fabulous and fast.

    Becky's Custom Sewing in Bay View! I found her recommended many times by Knotties on these boards as being absolutely fantastic so I took my own gown to her. It was a sample gown size 10 that she took down to my size 4! I just had my first fitting a couple weeks ago and it was perfect! She is truly amazing, but books up fast! My mom is having her dress done there, and so is my sister (MoH). I can't sing her praises enough!

    I think so. It's been a while since I took a formal dress there, but I think the last one she charged me $30 to raise the hem 3" and take in both sides about 1". Every time I've taken anything in to get altered she gives me an estimate up front and I don't think she's ever deviated more than $5. I don't go there very often now because I moved to NE WI, but my mom still takes her stuff all the time. Added bonus: it's right by Panera so you can get a treat after you go. :)

    Check out "Weddings by Janie" - she does really amazing headpieces, handbags plus alterations.
