SOS SEAMSTRESS HELP!

Hey girls,
I have posted my frustration with Mary-beth from Andrea's bridal  before (can't get ahold of) but this frustration has hit a huge peak. I'm 49 days out with no alterations even started!!! Please send me your recommendations for seamstress's, names, numbers, and reviews as this has to be taken care of ASAP. Thanks folks!!!
Amber

if it makes you feel any better i'm getting married three weeks from today and i just had my first fitting this morning. i'm pretty sure it's typical to get the alterations done in the last couple of weeks. my seamstress is fantastic but she lives in south carolina :( sorry

Try the seamstress at Henry's in Bangor if that's at all in your area.  It will be an extra $50 if you didn't get your dress there, but the seamstress (Lai, I think) is really great and very calm.  I think i responded to you before and put her contact info in that post, otherwise you can google.  Good luck!

Sarah Michnicwicz is located in the time and temp building and she is the best in Maine.  She is so fabulous it is possible she may even be booked, but if you want the best go to her.  Her number is 879-7397.  She also does amazing custom bustles, and you can help design the type of bustle you want to best suit the style of your gown, besically she is across the street from Andrea's.  Good luck!!!

[QUOTE]My seamstress was great!  Just tell her what happened and she should be able to help you out in a pinch.  I'm sorry but I don't have her card on me and I'm in NYC, but I know Andrea's Bridal has her card at their counter.  And you might be able to find her through yellow pages or something. Edit: and her name is Bette Brunswick.  Edit again: I was just trying to find her on Google.  I'm not having much luck since I find references to her shop (Dancing Damsel) which she has closed and just works out of her home/office.  I did find a bio of her on her church's website.  I'm sure you could call there and someone could give you her business number.   207-773-5747

My mother is using her (she's not close to me) and LOVES her!!  Very nice, very affordable and she'll come to you.  She doesn't work out of the Dancing Damsel studio anymore - just does the work from home - so she meets people wherever they are. My mom was thrilled with her.  If you haven't found anyone yet, let me know and I'll get her number from my mom (sorry I don't have it now).
