I used red hot chameleon (Craig Lawrence).  He was under that, and wonderful to work with.

My wedding isn't until March but so far our DJ- DJ H (Harold Purdy) from Modern Era Weddings has been great. We got a discount because our wedding is considered "off-season" and then we offered to pay in full in cash as our deposit so we got another 10% off so it ended up being $1080. I have friends who have used him and loved him, plus he is very quick at getting back to me and is very personable, so I don't have any worries!

Are any of these recomendations in the $500 range? My wedding is pretty informal and we aren't doing a big 'entrance,' toast, speeches, bouquet toss, etc. or any of the things the DJ usually announces but I'd still rather have a someone playing the tunes than relying on rigging an iPod and speakers... any suggestions?

<div>I'm getting married in April and we're using Greg Erosenko.  He's actually the mayor of Monroeville ... a little crazy, I know!!

His price is DEFINITELY in the $500 range.  I was blown away by his prices.</div><div>
</div><div>PM me if you'd like his number!!

My best friend got married this past weekend and he was her DJ, so I got to see him in action for about 5 hours.  He was great.  Didn't talk at all unless there was something he was annoucing (first dance, cake cutting, etc), just played music straight through.  He lets you give him a "definitely play this" list, a "do not play this" list, and will download ANY SONG you ask him to (as long as it is available for download).   He's been GREAT to work with so far, and after seeing him this weekend I felt even better about it!!

He usually does weddings at the Greek Orthodox Social Hall in Oakmont, but my BFF's wedding was at the LeMont and he traveled there for hers, so I'm sure he'd be willing to travel if you just call and ask him!

    Good luck :)</div>

We booked the Standard (standardevents.com). It's been an awesome experience so far and I've heard nothing but great things. We paid $800 for our dj.
