Does anyone know of a good DJ that is affordable?

Hey Everyone! I was just wondering if anyone is from the syracuse area and knows a good DJ? I'm not really from around here and I would love some advise. My fiance and I are paying out of pocket and we would like to budget and get a great deal. Thank you for your help ladies :)

    Hi
    We thought of cutting on cost for a dj but found out that the cheap ones are the worst and not a good deal by any means;
    We paid around $1000 for our DJ and it was well worth it as he made the party and was so professional.
    I would suggest you interview DJs like we did first before deciding on cost as the DJ really makes or breaks the entire reception which we found out as we had been to weddings before and seen DJs who were terrible - we found out from research that those bad ones were always the cheap ones

    Try contacting Black Tie Entertainment (btedj.com). They're great to work with (they just did my wedding and it was the best party ever). Total price for a basic package was about $700 (Sunday) and $900 (Saturday evenings).

    unfortunately Black Tie who you mention we looked at in the early stages and they seemed ok and had good references which we were a little wary of as they all seemed similar..later we found out that the owner of the Black Tie DJ service was arrested and charged with inappropriate acts with a child after being fired from his employment at a school in Skaneateles and then found guilty and sent to prison for 6 months and is currently on 10 years probation!
    We thought it would not be a good idea to have such a person mingling with our guests with such a serious criminal record and also that he was on probation for such a long time...sorry to burst your bubble on that but I had mentioned it before on this board

    If you read Burtcheryls other posts it's pretty obvious they're a vendor troll.

    I beg your pardon Chrissy721k..I am not a vendor troll and take that as a very rude comment - I AM a caterer and have been in the industry many years and happened to get married hence my account here..I choose to voice my opinion and experience for people to read here and do not expect people like you to say such hurtful incorrect things!

    i think we might need a little more in the way of details --

    where are you exactly? what type of dj do you want? how much is "budget" in your eyes?

    i can tell you who my DJ is, i think hes a good deal, and i like him, but i have no idea when you need a dj, where you are, and what you are looking for.

    please give more detail so we can appropriately answer your question.
