Snarky Brides

What would you do?!

So my friend gets hit on at the bar the other night, and she is into him and finds out he is engaged through the buddies he is with.  No problem, we leave the bar and think he is a total scumbag.  Well my friend and I get in the car and start talking about what would have happened if she didn't know and she hooked up with him, blah blah blah.  She said she would have found out who his fiance was and told her.  I said "Not your battle", that is between the two of them, and she said she would be morally obligated to tell.  Just curious, what do you ladies think?!  Tell or not to tell?!

Re: What would you do?!

  • Eh, even if she did find the fiancee and tell her, who's she going to believe, the love of her live (presumably) or a random strange girl she's never met? I know if I got a phone call like that, I'd probably laugh it off unless he'd been really shady lately anyway, then I probably wouldn't be engaged regardless.
  • I probably wouldn't have hooked up with someone I just met at a bar.

[QUOTE]What was she going to do?  Track him down on Facebook? I bet you $10 he gave her a fake name at the bar.

Yep. How would she even be able to track her down? Even if it was a real name and she found him on Facebook, he would never be her friend for her to find out more information.

  • I think that kind of thing is just really just power tripping/vengence. I understand the anger, but "telling the fiance/wife/girlfriend" tends to be masked as concern for her, when it is usually just about getting the S.O.B. some payback. I also have to say that seeing some family - law goings on back in the day, telling the wife (I understand this was a fiance, but still) stuff like this can lead to events not unlike a Lifetime man hater movie. Not something I want to help set in motion.
  • This guy sounds like such a scumbag! She probably would have looked crazy if she did find him, but as a stranger its not her battle. If she knew the girl and it happened then yea she should tell him
