I thought the AHR was going to be so simple. Just food and kites at the beach, very low-key and cheap.
But I can't, for the life of me, find a beach that has enough tables to reserve for a decent price within a reasonable distance of us and our friends. I live in freaking Orange County, and I'm just coming up empty. (I tried my local boards, didn't get much.) I'm starting to think I should just reserve one of the ramadas at our local beach which has just enough tables to display the food, then get a bunch of blankets for everyone to sit on instead.
Would that be terrible? We had been planning on Hawaiian BBQ for the food, but if we went this route, I'd probably have to find something a little more conducive to the format, like sandwiches or something. We could probably bring along some folding chairs if we end up with any older guests, but honestly this is mostly for our friends anyway.
Are there any other logistics I'd have to be aware of with something like this?
This is a neglected planning bio. This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
