Cheap photographer

Hey y'all! We are getting married in September and so far I'm struggling finding a photographer that is reasonably priced. Our budget is about $500 give or take for a photographer. I keep checking Craigslist, but was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions? Thanks! Happy planning!

    For that price, you might want to consider hiring a student photographer.  I don't know of any professional wedding photographers in that price range.

    I would agree with Louisanablue - if the goal is just to get pictures of the big day, go the route of one of my friends and have everyone instagram it and then have a hashtag for your wedding and then you are all set.

    It would be hard pressed to find someone for $500 - good luck

    bnm photography did my engagement photos are doing my wedding in March. They were very easy to work with reasonably priced! bnmphotobog.com is their site.

    Make sure before signing the contract that the photographer is licensed and has insurance. Otherwise, the venue may not allow him/her to take pictures there because it would be a liability.

    If that is not an issue, look at Kelli Summerford http://summerfordphotography.com/. If you like her pics, she is only $200 per hour. She has good reviews. Would have her at my wedding if not for the insurance issue.

    That is awesome!  Happy for you!  Have you considered Renaissance Photo NOLA?  I am going with them, I think.  They are pretty cheap and you get two photographers!  Plus, I just checked their FB page and they have a giveaway for a free bridal session.  You like their page, send them an email and then you're entered.  You have to enter before February 14th...I did!!  Wish me luck (if you enter, I wish you luck, too!!)! www.facebook.com/renaissancephotonola
