Has anyone had their reception there or know someone who has? I'm wondering about the experiences people have had there and the prices before I contact the venue. They provide almost no information about pricing on their site (though it's probably safe to assume it isn't cheap).

    I've been to a ceremony there- not a reception though- but I can say that it was definitely a unique venue for a wedding.  It's great if your going for something a little edgy and out of the ordinary.  As far as the pricing goes, I can't say for sure, but I would assume it's more on the pricey end.

    I was going to meet with them, but when my FI and I saw the $15,000 minimum price tag, it was crossed off the list pretty quickly.

    Oh wow! I had no idea it was that much!  I guess that makes sense though because it's such a one of a kind place.  I mean, I can't really think of another venue that would have the same kind of atmosphere.

    I had a friend that had her wedding there last summer... It was really, really fun and a very cool space.  People are still talking about the party!

    I asked her about the minimum, and she said that hers was not $15k... significantly less. (I didn't ask for specifics... didn't want to be nosey about how much money she spent!)  I guess the minimums depend on the date.

    If you are looking for a more unique downtown location check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Science Center. Both were on our list. They are less expensive then the HOB, and the price includes the museums being open for your guests to look at exhibits. That is especially cool if you will have OOT guests, and they both have great views of the lake !!
