second thoughts about wedding....

All this planning and saving and spending all this money. Starting to think about eloping or have our friend marry us in house. But I've got my dress and I still want to have the B party and all the pre-wedding stuff. But at the same time dont want to wait...Ahhh its just one of those nights...sorry needed to get that off my chest...Thanks for listening ladies

I went through the same thing a few weeks ago.  I feel so guilty spending my parents money when my mother needs to retire.  Not that this money would set them for life or anything, but hte general principle.  I told my father we could just elope or go the the JP and have something small, but he assured me they had set this money aside just for this purpose.  So we're going the full wedding route, but anything I can do myself or find on sale awesome.
I'm trying to plan all the decor now so I have plenty of time to make stuff and get items onsale.  Loving Michaels 40% coups!

I think we get so caught up in it all that we forget a little that we're planning to marry the loves of our lifes.  Don't let the stress get to you!  We're here to help and listen.  The girls on this board rock with good advice.

We've all been there.  It is so worth it in the end though.  I wouldn't trade my wedding day for anything!

I agree with what others have said.  You have those moments but I can say in the end there is nothing better than sharing the beginning of your married life with friends and family and celebrating that occasion.  I think I would have regretted it if I had eloped.  Hang in there and remember in the end, it is WORTH IT!  I promise

Thanks Ladies, We have scaled back the 20K wedding to hopefully less than 10, Brandon did not want something big at all...and well I didnt want anything to big just family and close friends. So this way i think we are getting the best of both worlds. Thanks for all the advice ladies, I love this board.
