Make-Up: Check! Shoes: Check!

Very successful shopping trip with my mom and sister! We first went to sephora. I'm not-too make-up savy, and when I do wear it I wear Bare Minerals, which I understand is really bad for photographs. The girls at Sephora helped me find a new camera-friendly foundation in the right shade, and then showed me all these great tips I never knew how to do with conceler and bronzer and eye shadow! They also gave me some free sample of masks and skin care products to try so that I am glowing on my wedding day! Way to go, Sephora!

Then needed to find a pair of shoes to match my post-reception barn party dress,  (beacause you can't wear a floor length white gown and 4 inch heels to a barn party) and was able to get two pair for under $50 combined at payless! So now I'll have some options, either a comfy nude pump or a gold peep-toe wedge, for all the upcoming wedding-related events! Super productive shopping trip!

  • Congrats on getting those things checked off the list!  I went to Sephora over the weekend too because like you I don't wear much make up and when I do it's mascara and bare minerals.  I wanted lipstick that would last most of the night, and didn't feel like concrete.  They are so wonderful there.  They let me try on 3 or 4 different brands to see which one I like the best and I found one in a shade that I love so might just wear it more often.

  • Hmmm.... there might be a trip to Sephora in my future. I'm getting my makeup done day of, but I want to be able to touch-up on my own, so I might buy my own lipstick, since it wears off so dang fast.
