Hair: Formal Hair Design, A+
Lynda is awesome. She has a great personality and is very honest, which I appreciated as I wanted genuine feedback on what would look good with my hair. She made me feel very comfortable at the trial and kept in touch with me throughout my planning process, responding to photos and questions I had in a timely manner. She also seemed geninely enthusiastic about working with me, which I appreciated. She ordered beautiful extensions for me and she was very conscientious, waiting until the week before my wedding to color them to be an exact match to my hair. On the wedding day, she arrived on time with an assistant and did beautiful work on my sisters and flower girls. But my hair was the best part-- Lynda worked with me to create what I can only call a work of art. My hair was stunningly gorgeous, creative, and original, and I got compliments on it all night. The service was a bit on the expensive side, but in the end it was hands down worth it. Lynda made me feel and look like a princess and I would absolutely work with her again!
Makeup: Simply Beautiful by Kristin Greene, A+
I loved working with Kristin. She has a warm and bubbly personality and she really seems to love what she does. I booked her without having met her but felt confident based on all of her exceptional reviews. At the trial she was warm and attentive. I did not love the look we created at the trial and Kristin was very responsive to my suggestions on what I wanted to be different. On the wedding day itself she made all of my girls and my mom gorgeous. I love my mother to death, but pleasing her is tough to do, so the fact that she loved her makeup speaks volumes as to Kristin's talent and ability to read and please her clients. My makeup was spot on gorgeous and I felt really beautiful. By the end of my morning if getting ready, I felt like Kristin (and Lynda above) were like friends. I also loved the goodie bag Kristin made me and I used the touch up lipstick and straws all night.
Cake: Scrumptions, A+
We LOVED our cake. It was beautiful and delicious. We went to several tastings and the cake at Scrumptions was moist and delicious and the fillings were wonderful. Jennifer was very easy to work with and everyone there was very nice. When I saw our cake at our reception I could not stop staring at it, it was even more beautiful than I thought it would be.
