Where to find a Catholic priest

Hi, ladies! My fiance and I are still figuring out exactly where our ceremony will be held, but most of the Catholic churches that have given us a "yes" require that you bring in your own priest. Does anyone have any recommendations on specific priests or on where to find one? Thanks!

You should be able to get married at your own parish by the parish preist.  All you need to do is specify that you would like that to occur.  At my church it is standard to have the pastor marry you, you actually have to ask to have another priest come in and marry you.

Thanks for the response. Do you have any advice for finding a "random" priest? My fiance is Catholic, but I am not, and we aren't getting married at his parish. How do we go about finding someone who will come to whatever Catholic church we decide on?

The best bet is to ask Catholic friends about their priests and then if any sound good set up a meeting with them.  You can also ask at the parish that you are getting married at to meet with their priests and see if one clicks with you and your FI.  Good luck and don't forget you will probably have to do pre-Cana and a Catholic family planning class as well.
