So we custom-ordered his ring a few months ago and it finally came in today (yay!). He tried it on at the store, said he liked it and we paid for it. Then when he got home from work he tried it on again and realized that he hates it because it's "too shiny and girly" (boo!) I don't want him to have to wear a ring that he hates. I just wish he had realized that he hated the ring at the store - before we bought the non-refundable, custom ring.
Thankfully, we have grounds for the store to issue a refund even though they generally don't issue refunds for custom ordered jewelry. It's because we ordered the ring in 14K yellow gold and it came in 10K yellow gold (something we realized after reviewing the documents to find grounds for a refund).
