Bulk wholesale candy, local stores? MA or NH

I am looing to buy a few types of candy for our wedding and was wondering if anyone has used any local stores as oposed to ordering online. The deals are good online but when you're ordering enough for 100 or so people the shipping costs really add up. I saw online a place in Brockton, wondering if anyone has suggestions? or places they've used? Thanks.

  • When are you getting married and what kind of candy are you looking for?

Overall, I would suggest going the online route just because you're going to get more bang for your buck. I would do a lot of research and price out different venues and keep track of the prices and shipping charges. Also, make sure you do a search before you buy because their could be online promo codes for free shipping and special discounts.

We got a few after party candies and snacks at BJ's through a friends membership, but it really depends on what you're looking for. We bought chocolate hearts online through a random candy store that offered a great promotion. Keep in mind that if you're getting married in the summer (or placing a summer order), if you get chocolates or another senstitive candy, you might have to pay for ice bags to prevent the candies from melting.
  • Depending on what you are looking for, maybe Yummies in Kittery, Maine.   You can buy online as well. (www.yummies.com)
  • I am not sure exactly what I'm going to do but I plan on checking out The Penny Candy Store.  They are based out of Sharon, MA.

  • Metrocandy.com
    MUCH cheaper than candywarehouse.com

  • Pearl's Candies on route 28 in Salem, NH is an option.  We bought different types of chocolate hearts for my bridal shower there.  Good quality and reasonable prices.
  • Thank you all! I will take a look
  • I bought all mine at BJs.
