Wedding update...Thursday?

Ok..since Sarah is slacking ;0)

1)  Paid off limo
2)  Paid off baker
3)  Paid off DJ
4)  Put tips in envelopes
5)  finally got our wedding bands back
6)  Set up MUA
7) Emailed everyone schedule for day of
8)  Final meeting with DJ
9)  Final meeting with officiant
10) final meeting with photographer
11) Finalized menu for RD
12)  met with RD venue to discuss set up/final arrangements
 
I think that's it.......9 DAYS LEFT!!!!!

    Damn girl! Busy, busy.

    We hired an Etsy artist to design our save the dates and are working on the final proof. I'm obsessed with them. We also started putting our website together.

    I will add here that all of my thank you notes except one are done!  (This doesn't count FI's side as he will be doing all or most of those -- he hasn't written a single one yet.)

    Soooo excited to go on my mini-moon tomorrow!!!

    1. Finished my last hotel viewing over the weekend
    2. Decided which hotel to go with and reserved them for out of room guests.
    3. Emailed DJ Monday... he re-replied to a previous email so I called today to follow-up with it the DJ and found out they have a special pricing until tomorrow! (Good timing on my part, but I have 24 hours to pay now!!)  WIll be booking tomorrow.  :)  So exciteddddd.

    I booked my cake baker, which is pretty exciting!  We're going to do our official tasting in December.  I also ordered a sample invitation from an Etsy vendor.  Looking forward to that coming in.

    I'm behind in my thank you notes, but I have a good reason really! All of our gifts and cards were with Chad's parents and we just got them on Sunday. We've got 24 out of a lot done. It's a start. :)

    My veil came in and three of my five bridesmaids dresses (they were in separate orders). I'm really excited, especially since we just ordered them and thought it would be at least two more months! We also started looking at save the dates. Thanks for all the Vista Print recommendations, ladies!

    We booked a home town baker (Horseheads), who we have ties to.  She delivered a cake to Ventosa last weekend, which is nice to know.  Kristi's Kakes is her business, small but tasty!

    Ugh im so behind!!! Updating from the eye doctor waiting room :) 1. Went to Philly to check out that venue. It was stunning inside, pretty much verything we wanted. Too bad it was in the middle of a really seedy area of Philly... I mean, it was across the street from a mcdonald's and a 99cent store. I just do not want to invest all these resources, and ask my guests to do the same, to travel all that way to a neighborhood like that. Call me judgmental but we went with our gut on this one. Too bad, so sad :( the good news is, we will officially be married in NY! We have a couple venues in mind between syracuse and westchester county, so thats our primary focus right now. 2. We got our e-pics from my friend! I will post a couple latet today 3. We got the free sample invites tht I ordered from vistaprint. I used the second option for paper choice, since the third option would have cost more and i only wanted to pay for shopping. Let me just say, i ordered these at the end of august and I JUST got them, so theyre not kidding when they say "slow shipping" as their cheapest method. Also, the first thing out of lucas' mouth was "ugh. These look so cheap!" and I felt the same way. I orderes one of their own templates and along the right edge of every invite is this light yellow line, which was definitely not a part of the template. I tossed them out this morning I would have shown you all a pic of what i meant. I've ordered samples from 123print.com before and I like theirs better and they're right around the same price as vistaprint if not cheaper(they also send free samples with free shipping to you in case anyone is still shopping for these!) I think that I'm going to check out etsy and consider droppin an extra $100 or so for better-quality invites... i know theyre just pieces of paper and everybody tosses them out anyway, but hey i only get to do this once! :) That's about all I got for now. I guess i could also volunteer myself to take over the update thread each week if everyone is ok with that!
