I want to incorporate our careers into our favors.  He is a pharmacist and we are doing cute prescription bottles full of candy.  I am in advertising and public relations and would really like to incorporate my career some way too but I am drawing a huge blank.  Any ideas?

Re: Career themed favor help
And I think you're overthinking your favors. They're just a little "something" for your guests: they don't have to be about your careers.
If you're really set on the idea of incorporating pharmacist, Instead of pill bottles filled with candy, could you have cookies made in the shape of a prescription bottle?
[QUOTE]It's not what you asked, but if you have children at your reception, then I have to say I'm not a fan of prescription bottles filled with candy. I don't think that kids should ever equate prescriptions with candy. The preschool teacher in me shudders at that idea. Sorry. And I think you're overthinking your favors. I would have that concern also. Prescription bottles should not be equated with candy. Honestly I don't think using prescription bottles is a good idea.Besides from the possible message, it is just odd.
Trix - I knew something was making me uneasy about this favor when I read this post early this morning. You nailed it.

[QUOTE]It is a child free reception, and I think it is a cute idea. I found another board last night where a MOB said she had done the same thing and everyone loved it. A lot of other pharmacists will be in attendance and I think they will enjoy it.

It's a child free reception which is good. But your guests may well be taking those favors home to a house that is not child free. I'm sorry to harp on this, but I just feel that equating candy+prescription pill bottles is never, ever a good idea.

I always laugh when people claim that everyone loved their ideas. Do you honestly think her guests would tell her that they thought it was dumb?
There are many ideas to choose from and that would be a great idea to incorporate wording on the bottle. Maybe your career goals that you've both shared or achieved over the time spent together.

[QUOTE]Okay, I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE the prescription bottle idea!!! If people bring them home and let their kids have them, that's their stupidity. I'm sure the actual prescription drugs in their houses are a bigger concern.

It's not the point of people giving them to their children- it's the children seeing the bottles and thinking it is candy. I am with Trix on this one= bad idea!
