Wedding Photo Vendors and Packages- Staten Island/ Bklyn

I posted this on another board as well:

I'm just wondering, how many photos were included in your wedding photography package? I'm trying to get some sort of idea of what to expect before I meet with photographers.

I am also in Staten island and looking for a good photographer. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you!

    My package included two photographers and there was no specification in the contract as to exactly how many pictures they take.  I'm waiting for my pictures to come back, but my guess is they took a few thousand (they shot from 2pm to 11pm)

    I wouldn't limit yourself to S.I. photographers though...I booked mine from upstate based on a knottie here and he was FAB!!!

    Ditto pp. Don't limit yourself to SI photogs.  While you'll get nice pics, if you broaden your search you can amazing pics instead. GL!

    Thanks for the tips. I wasn't sure if a photographer would travel to Staten Island and if it would be more expensive.
    Nova, who did your photography, if you don't mind me asking?

    our photographer is awesome, her web is www.juliaazcona.com, she very affordable, but based out of brooklyn.  she travels anywhere tho.

    We received 500 beautiful photos, but I don't know what most offer.

    We used Melissa Lynn, based out of NYC, and she does travel to Staten Island. http://beimaged.com.

    Cannot recommend her enough -- we told her that we were going to keep shouting her name from the rooftops, but I don't think she believed us! She is affordable but offers work that is up there with the best of the best.

    Also, my friend used The Studio Photographers and they were awesome.  Her pictures were gorgeous and they great to work with all day (I was in her bridal party), I think they're expensive though, not entirely sure.  http://thestudiophotographers.com/

    We're getting a DVD with edited images with all rights.  We're getting about 500 photos.  

    Here's a photographer whose work I really like.  I didn't go with him. I spoke to him about videography and he's super nice.  I kind of wish I had found him before I found my photographer.  


     As of now, my photographer hasn't been too responsive.  As of now, I don't feel comfortable recommending him.  Hopefully that will change in the future.
