Vendor Reviews!!!

Hello Ladies! Sorry it's taken me so long to get these up but I figured now is a better time than ever! We got married on May 1st - the hottest day in May so far!! it was 90+ degrees!! (guess it was better than rain though, huh? ha ha) anyways - here are our reviews!!

Ceremony & Reception: We had our ceremony outside of Masso's in Glassboro at the Manor Park & Garden - it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! the weather was perfect, the flowers lining the aisle were perfect, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting! Our mait'r'de Kathy was an absolutely doll! She kept everything moving, and told me exactly what I needed to do! After the ceremony we had our reception inside of the Red Pine Inn - again PERFECT! The setting turned out to be a perfect location - all my little DIY centerpieces and accents looked great inside the gorgeous log cabin! I def give Masso's an A+!  No slip ups, or problems with anything that night at all! The only complaint I had heard was that people were confused with the ceremony venue - there are no signs really indicating which is which (there are 3 seperate sites outside) so some people accidentally went to the wrong one - but all around within walking distance to the next! Also there is only one small bar inside the Red Pine Inn - so most times there was a line for drinks (only 1 bartender) but everything went well and I can't complain about it!!

DJ:  We went with Centerstage Entertainment and used Frank Catrambone Jr. as our DJ. His family are patients at my work - so he gave us a great deal! I couldn't have asked for a better guy to run the night! He was so comfortable to work with, played all the music we asked him to, and kept the dance floor packed all night! He was an amazing guy to work with - always keeping on top of us and being so incredibly accomodating! The night ran so smooth thanks to him & his assistant! I would def reccomend him to anyone looking for an affordable, and amazing DJ! A+

Florist:
Both my girlfriend who used them for her wedding, and Masso's reccomended Rosebud Florist in Pitman for our wedding. My mom and I went and met with Bob a few months back and he def worked within my budget! (We got all the girls flowers, my flowers, bouts and everything else except centerpieces and flowers for ceremony for $600!) - I had a few gripes with him - first off I was told that the flowers would be delivered at my parents the day of the wedding at 2pm - they wound up being delieverd at 12p instead - which worried me bc it was SO hot out i didnt want any of the flowers wilting!! (our ceremony didnt start until 5:30p) - when the girl came to deliver there was A LOT missing - my flower girl basket, my grandparents flowers, my dads flowers - so I had my maid of honor call and handle all of that and I do have to say it was fixed and brought back within an hr - my mom was also not pleased with her bouquet so he also fixed that at no charge as well. I was also not warned that the one flower I had included in my bouquet - stephanotis (those little white flowers that they put the pearl pins in) would wilt at the site of heat! by the end of the ceremony (which was only a half hour) all those little flowers that were scattered thoughout my bouquet were done. Luckily my photographer got pictures of my bouquet right off the bat so they were still healthy. I had no problems working with Bob, however, we emailed frequently and he def worked within my budget - noone could've known that it would be THAT HOT on May 1st! I would reccomend them again just be sure you get everything you need when you need it. I'd give them a B.

Photographer:
We were so overwhelmed when we started looking up wedding photographers and finding NOTHING under 2000! My husband did some research and came across Melissa Chinici.  I cannot say enough good things about this woman!! I absolutely love her - she was amazing from our first consult until the day of! I feel like I've made a friend out of our relationship! She was at my parents early - and I've only seen a few pics so far but they look incredible! She has this amazing vintage feel to her photos which we fell in love with! She made me feel beautiful and throughout the whole ceremony/reception I didnt even know she was there! She doesn't distract you or bother you during your special day but you know she's there capturing some amazing photos :) I cannot wait to get our photos back and see the results! I def give her an A+ and would recc her to everyone!! You will def not regret it!!

Hair/Makeup: Thanks to all the wonderful reccs on this board I decided to go with Karen Capcino! After my trial with her I was soooooo excited!! She is absolutely amazing, and her prices are sooo affordable, not to mention she comes to YOU on teh day of the wedding!! So it was so nice to be able to get ready in my PJs! She brought her daughter along to help and all of my girls that got their hair/makeup done with her absolutely loved the results! My hair stayed put all night long, my makeup looked amazing (without making em look like a clown!) - and I am so so so happy that I went with her! A+

Wedding Dress & Bridesmaid Dresses
: David's Bridal - I had no problems what so ever with them! My Dress was perfect and even thought I did not get my alterations done there, in the several trips I made there I have no complaints. I dealt with the location in Deptford though, some of my girls weren't happy with the customer service they received at the Mt. Laurel location. A

I hope this gives some insite to some of you - i know i def benefitted from some of the information from you ladies over the past year and a half. if anyone has any questions just let me know!!! thanks fore verything!!

Hi, I'm new to posting and I just read your vendor reviews.  I have been thinking about Masso's.  Do you mind if I ask what kind of dinner you had?  Buffet, sit down, with or w/o  cocktail hour?  And what was price per person?  Thanks!

echobella - we went with the buffet i wanna say it was emerald buffet? and the open bar and full cocktail hour - i wanna say it was 65-67 pp, its 5 dollars less for any guests under the age of 21 and half price for all the guests that are children (under the age of 12 or 9 i forget) - not bad at all, it was the best deal we found for what we were looking for!

demarcosjd & mp 375 - we LOVED centerstage, frank was awesome - as well as allt the other guys we met with!! demarcosjd you will be so satisfied with them! and mp375 we def were able to talk them down in price, you should go back to them, tell them the price you got from steve & co. and see if they can work with you - with this economy, trying to work within your budget - most vendors will most def work with you - and i totally found that out throughout this process!
