Checks and gripe

Picked up my band yesterday.
Finalized song list/timing with musicians.
Signed floral contract and put down deposit.
Finished favors.
Had hair trial.

Tomorrow I am ordering the cake. It'll look something like this.




Why why why can't people RSVP when they get the invitation... especially when they have verbally indicated they are coming?

    How about when they verbally tell you they are coming and then you get the reply and its a decline? That happened to me today. So annoying.

    I hear you.  Ours were due yesterday and I have 68% of them in.  My bigger irritation is that many of those who haven't responded are recently married or engaged, so they should be aware of the importance of the RSVP, especially when there's a food choice to make!

    And pretty cake :-)

    And yes, I expected a lot of RSVPs this week as the date is this Saturday. I don't think we've gotten any this whole week! I don't understand it. . . grr!

    OMG I am right there with you. I've had a measly two RSVP's this week and both were declines, so that was depressing. And then one of my friends that I was really excited about attending found out that she has to attend an important event with her husband, so that was a bummer. The entire first few weeks were all YES'S so it's just weird and now I'm getting paranoid that we won't have enough people. I know I need to just calm down......

    They have until August 29th to respond....but still.....grrr....

    I don't know what's up with the RSVPs... that's the most irritating part! I've been kinda bummed about a lot of friends who said they would come but now they can't. And almost all of the outstanding RSVPs are from FI's family. His mom said that those people are probably not coming but I don't want to assume that and then have people show up expecting to be fed dinner!

    My RSVP date was yesterday and I have not been to the post office yet but I am guessing not all the of 25 that were missing are shoved into the little PO box, lol. It drives me nuts. I am going to be nice and wait until Monday to start to make calls, just in case people throw it in the mail today or tomorrow.

    Great checks and the cake is so pretty!

    RSVPs are so annoying.  My dad called me type-A the other day because I'm frustrated we don't have more and our RSVP date is still 2 weeks away.  But so much depends on that headcount!  Plus, I guess it also hasn't been super exciting because the only RSVPs we've received from my side have been my parents and brothers (obvious yes's), one of my BM (another obvious yes), and my aunt and uncle who I knew were coming.  The rest of the RSVPs are FI's family.  Not a single one of my friends or other family members have RSVP'ed so I'm not sure who from my side will be there.  And, since my side is much smaller than FI's already I'm wondering if I'll have really anyone besides BMs and family.
