400 North Ervay

Im planning from chicago but there rental fee is 7,300.00 is that average for dallas or does that seem high to you? in addition to$8.50 per chair and the fee for the reception is $16.00 per person to include table, linen and chairs. In addition the wedding has to end at 10:50pm  I know here in chicago just to rent the venue is 10,000 plus!
Also avanti fountain said they can do 150 people for a sitdown dinner now im worried i dont want to put 150 in a venue that could typlically be too small

Is that JUST the rental fee? Yes that sounds pretty high even for Dallas. Unless that includes food. And I would not trust Avanti. Of course they will SAY they can do it but we've had Knotties actually use them and I don't think that is the opinion of those that have used it. Hopefully an Avanti bride will chime in. You could also look at the Hall of State or Union Station.
  • yes that is just the rental fee for ceremony and reception
i will check those thank you
  • I toured Avanti, and the person I spoke with said that they will seat guests in the restaurant dining room (in addition to the regular wedding reception room) to accommodate larger receptions.  I think they will also set up a dance floor outside so that they can seat more people inside.

The bottom line is that, if you want to have more than 100 people at a wedding at Avanti, all of your guests will not be in the same room.  Avanti is a lovely venue, but I really thought it was better suited for smaller weddings.

  • That's high for Dallas, I think.

I dont think its worth it
  • I got married at Avanti and I for sure would not have over 125. And at that point you would have to dance outside, which can be risky depending on the time of year. I love it but it is def for smaller weddings! What are your needs besides 150 ppl?
  • If that is just the rental fee, not including any food or beverage, I think it is really high.

  • Also, from what I've heard just discussing weddings with my Chicago friends, Dallas is much cheaper, at least when you compare Chicago downtown to Dallas down- or uptown.
