NJ beach wedding 9/11/2010

We're newly engaged and trying to find a place where we can get married on the beaches in NJ  and have the reception in the same location or close by.  It seems to be a popular day as there isn't many openings.  Any suggestions?  Thank for any help!!

    Do you mean 9/10/2011... It's a very popular date because it's 9-10-11

yes that is what i meant, thanks for correcting me lol.  This has been difficult in just finding people to call about availability.  Trying to find some main numbers to the state of NJ who could refer us to some places maybe?  Or just take a drive up there but I'd rather not without having some information on a few places.

MY FI's cousin got married at Spano's at the White Sands in Pt. Pleasant and she RAVES about it.... I wasn't with him yet then so I didn't go but pictures are beautiful and her ceremony was right on the beach and then they have the reception right in the venue there. This is their web addy: http://www.thewhitesands.com/weddings.html

if you're still looking..Long Beach Island, NJ... there are several sites down there to consider. One most popular is the Sea Shell. It is a restaurant/bar/hotel right on the beach. You can get a drink at the bar and sit on a beach chair and enjoy waves.

LbI has quite a few venues (I live there) your options are:
    The Sea Shell
    The Boat House
    Brant beach yacht club
Surf City yacht club (amazing views)
    The State Room
    Bonnet Island Estate
    Mallard Island Estate
The Gabels Inn for a smaller wedding.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

    Hope that Helps!

Try Cape May! There are a lot of venues that will set up a ceremony on the beach and most of them overlook the ocean. Congress Hall, Peter Shields Inn, Union Park,  Hotel Alcott, the Mansion, and Washington Inn are all great locations. But you will need a 'wedding' permit for the beach, which you can get at the city hall.
