Rehearsal Dinner

I need some ideas for a rehearsal dinner in the northland. We are having the ceremony and reception in Trimble, MO so we need to find a place that isn't TOO far away, like the plaza or OP would be. I actually have Strouds booked, but they are a little on the expensive side. My FI and I are paying for the rehearsal dinner ourselves so we were trying to be a little more budget friendly. We have 50 people coming to the rehersal. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I'm having mine at Minsky's Pizza, but I don't know if that's what you had in mind because it's such a casual setting. I will say, however, they have party packages ranging from 10 people to 80, and they cost about 5.50 a person for everyone to have pizza, breadsticks, and unlimited soda.

If you like pizza, Stone Canyon pizza in Parkville has a nice banquet room upstairs and their pizza is amazing.

If you like italian I can't reccommend Cascone's enough.  I don't know their prices though.

Cheaper places would be buffet's or you could bring sandwhiches and stuff to a park.  There is no rule that the RD has to be a sit down place that is all fancy. You can make it as laid back as you want.  I know HyVee has some great catering and there are a lot of nice parks up here.  Depending on what night you are doing your RD, some of the casino's buffets are on the affordable side and it gives you a nicer atmosphere.

We are booked at Houlihan's up north and they have some great prices.  They have full dinners for $17.95 per person.  Minimum is $600 for the night.

Zona Rosa is up in the northland, not too far away from KCI. There is a lot of cool resturaunts there that would be cool to have a RD at, and there is also lots of cool shoping!Smile Also, the Liberty area by William Jewell College is super cute and has some cool places to eat. There are chain resturaunt, like Chillis and Applebees, and there are also some cute local ones. I went to dinner at a resturaunt that was located in an old warehouse- that was so cool!

ETA: And on the Plaza there is The Cheesecake factory which is always nice, Kona Grill, Baja 600, The Melting Pot- a fondue place, kinda pricy, and I believe a PF Changs or some other kind of Japanese place. And Brio, a fancy Italien place, SUPER nice location! HTH!

We are expecting about 35 for our RD and the majority of them are OOT. We wanted to take them somewhere they can't go when they get back home. I have the same idea as theluckiest - shopping and so many places to choose from, plenty of parking and great exercise :) plus the cute fountain by Cold Stone and the big area by Brio. We're having our dinner at 54th Street - they have provided us with exceptional service every time we dine there and really look forward to sharing that with our family. Good luck!
