HTH!
Flowers: Jenny Carroll at Whole Foods of Milford
Shoes: www.amazon.com
Photography: Kelly Lorenz of KL Imagery www.klimagery.com
Catering: Micheal Bosco at La Cuisine of Branford
Make-up: Dana Bartone (I used Leigh)
Speakers and Mic rental: New England Sound (New Haven)
Classic Limo rental: Carriage Limo (Oxford)
Invitations were totally DIY and my dress was purchased in China.
I wholeheartedly recommend all the above vendors, especially Micheal Bosco, Kelly Lorenz and Ida of Ida's Bridal!
I am using these vendors for my June wedding:
Florist: Jane Just for You
Photographer: Studio1923...Jerome is nothing less than amazing! We recently got our epics back and love them!
DJ: DJ Melee
Shoes: I got them from Macy's, my girls are wearing the same ones
Cake: J-Cakes in Branford. It is included in my package
Hair/Makeup: Naomi's Salon in West Hartford. We are using Tonya for hair and Candice for makeup. I've had past experience with Candice but not Tonya.
Invitations: we went the cheap way and got them from 123print.com. They came within a week, very good quality, and very, very inexpensive.
STD's: Magnetstreet.com
My dress and BM's dresses: Mariella Creations. They do discounts if the bride gets her dress there.
[QUOTE]My veil is from the Bridal Mall . It's soo beautiful, I love it!! It was really reasonably priced, too. Our cake is coming from Mystic Market ! <div>Same here!</div><div>
</div><div>Also, I'm a RI bride but I'm using a couple of CT/national vendors:</div><div>
</div><div><span style="color:#000000;font-family:'Times New Roman';line-height:normal;font-size:medium;" class="Apple-style-span"><div style="font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10px;background-color:initial;background-image:none;background-attachment:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial;color:#1f1f1f;font:normal normal normal 11px/14px Arial, sans-serif;text-align:left;">My cake is coming from Felicia's Sweetface in Gales Ferry<div>
</div><div>I got my shoes from DSW</div><div>
</div><div>And my photog is Larry St.Pierre from Mystic</div></div></span></div>
Congrats! I'm an April 2012 bride, but so far I love the majority of my vendors:
Attire: Melissa Ashley Brides in RI- shoes- I'm PUMPED about my shoe choices- I was going to get custom made shoes but decide they weren't worth the splurge- then I came across these beauties deisgned by Fergie- so pumped! http://www.fergieshoes.com/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?p=10537&pg=5164851
Photographer: Ashley Stelzer www.aestelzer.com- love her work, more than willing to share my engagement picture gallery if you're interested...
Florist: Flora Flora in Noank. So far, she is the choice that I am most nervous about. I loved her creativity but she isn't great at getting back to emails and communicating with me. To be fair, she does have two young children, and creative people can be a little flighty...we'll see! I interviewed with Montville Florist (loved them) and Jane at Just For You Flowers (loved her too).
Invitations: Jess at ESTO Prints- she rocks- she custom makes all invitations, is about half the price of most online sites- I'm getting a great deal on my paper products for her and she has been fabulous thus far! http://www.estoccasions.com/#!estoprints
Good luck, PM me with any questions and do share your choices with us
[QUOTE]Congrats! I absolutely LOVED all of our vendors. Only ones we would absolutely NOT reccommend is who we did our programs through :) Venue: Wright's Mill Farm - Amazing! LOVED LOVED LOVED this place and Linda was so easy to work with. And a definite plus.... the chef's food was incredibly delicious! Every person I talk to brings up how good the food was! Dress & Veil: Bridal Mall (I got my dress there before they stopped ordering dresses and so it just worked out better to get them at the same place so I could try them on together, but I hate how they won't tell you the designer so you can't look around!!) Shoes: David's Bridal (I would actually not reccommend them for any service, but I fell in love with a pair of deep purple heels there that were not died so I didn't have to worry about the color running on my dress) Photographer: Roger's Photography - absolutely amazing people! We also used them for a photobooth and our guests absolutely loved them because it wasn't like a typical photobooth! DJ: Upbeat DJ, LLC - Greg Bugbee is wonderful to work with and so reasonable. And they actually also provided me with uplighting for our entire venue for $200! The purple was so pretty! Videographer: n/a Florist: LeFrancois Flowers - Unbelievabley gorgeous! I wouldn't have gone anywhere else though - my entire family uses them for every occasion! Baker: Chocolate Rose Bakshop (our venue had a contract with them so we used them because we had to, but it turned out beautfiul and tasted great! I've have so many people comment on how it didn't taste like a wedding cake because it was so delicious! And best part - she handmade a funfetti cake for us!! Invitations: Personalized Prints, LLC - Niki owns this shop out of Norwich and she did such a wonderful job! <strong>Programs: Minuteman Press - the guy that works there was a complete jerk and we had so many problems with them. We ended up getting them for free, but some of them had a yellow streak through the middle bc there was yellow ink on their printing roller when they were printing him and he said that it was our problem! Could go into so much detail with this one, but I'll save you all! Just don't use them for anything!!</strong>

Interesting.. if you don't mind me asking, which location did you use? Because I know they're franchised and have different owners, but I knew a guy who worked a MMP and he was a complete and total DB.
Shoes: I did an extensive Zappos.com search for shoes and finally found the white Badgley Mischka "Oma" shoes, but couldn't get them in my size or color on Zappos. So I ended up doing a Google Shopping search and found the exact color and size I needed from a seller on eBay for 1/3 the price on Zappos. It was meant to be! They were absolutely perfect for my dress and style
Photographer: Annandale/A Love Story photography. Kiva & James are beyond awesome with a camera and so laid-back and easy going to work with. They take so many photos and get them back to you so quickly (send you the disc with photos both formatted in size for web/facebook and also high-resolution for prints) and the rights to the photos belong to you so you don't have to order prints through them
Videographer: N/A
Florist: Jane at Just For You - board favorite! Ask anyone on CT TK board, you won't hear a bad thing about Jane (and for good reason, because she's awesome, works within any budget, and is truly masterful at what she does)
Baker: Mystic Market East (like Vanessa, I got married at Mystic Seaport and it was included in our catering package with Coastal Gourmet)
Invitation: I found a beautiful and simple style off of Carlson Crafts' website and was able to order them through a local stationary store in my town. They came quick and were perfect. I got calligraphy done (because my handwriting is good, but not wedding good and I didn't want to run them through the printer) by Michelle Dowling of CT Calligraphy and it came out beautifully (she also did my programs, favor tags, and Message-in-a-Bottle place card scrolls/tags.)
"I don't know how it gets better than this. You take my hand and lead me head first - Fearless"
Photographer: Alexis Stein Photography. They're incredibly talented (I'm a total snob when it comes to art/photography - I want composition, balance, light, depth, etc. and so I tend to only like ridiculously expensive photographers, but these guys are VERY talented and experienced at a lower budget). We did our e-pics and I just loved it! Plus it's two excellent photographers rather than one star and one "assistant".
Videographer: DL Video Productions. I'm thrilled with their work, though we had a bit of a hiccup in communications (mostly my fault, but I wasn't thrilled with how they responded, or rather didn't respond). We're getting it ironed out, though, and I would definitely recommend their work. Very, VERY talented! I looked and spoke to dozens of videographers and this was the only one I wanted to use.
Florist: Christine at Azalea Blooms. My Mom handled this, as she needed a job and she's good at this stuff. She went obsessive and met with around 20 different florists, but she really liked Christine and she has experience working with our caterer (who she actually recommended to us).
Baker: No baker. No cake. Sorry! We are having cupcakes as favors, and we're getting them from Georgetown Cupcakes in DC (a friend is driving them up the day before the wedding).
Invitations: Myself. I do Adobe Illustrator graphic design in my spare time. Not sure how I'll have them printed yet, but I'll figure that out when I get to it!
Photographer: Dave Wrobel
DJ: DJ Melee- Jason Palermo
Videographer:Friend
Florist: Aerie Mountain
Cake & Cupcakes: Cakes Unlimited
Hair & Makeup: Larissa Lake!!
Invitations: DIY
Dress & Shoes: Beautiful Brides
My venue is Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook (for ceremony and reception). I've had a great expeirence so far but they just got a new wedding coordinator, which makes me a little nervous, but I think she will be just as good as the previous coordinator. Either way, so excited to have our wedding there.
Photo/Video: Mia Paige Photography - she's been great so far and is very affordable. Florist: The Pink Petunia in Cheshire - my mom is a florist there. Since my mom is my florist, I guess I can't even give her a review because obviously it would be biased! lol
DJ/Entertainment: DJ Melee - a big favorite on The Knot. Everyone seems to love him. He's been great to work with so far.
Make-up: Dana Bartone. I have yet to meet her but I booked her based on her awesome reputation alone. Maybe a risky move but I doubt it
Dress: Michele Bridal Boutique in Westbrook (at Water's Edge shops). My consultant was Krista. She was awesome and i LOVE my dress!
BM Dresses: Mariellas in Rocky Hill. Good to work with and good prices, but insanely crowded on Saturdays. Definitely much calmer on a weekday!
