BM dresses--same color, different styles

Hi--

I am trying to find places where my bm's can choose a style of dress that flatters their figure, but still keep the color/ fabric the same.  J Crew is alright but expensive, Ann Taylor doesn't have the right color, and two birds only offers that cotton-jersey style dress.  Anyone have any stores/ websites I can try?

Thanks :-)

What colors are you looking for?  Alfred Angelo has a wide range of colors and styles to choose from, and most dresses are under $200.  I also found Jim Hjelm dresses to have a good selection of colors and styles, and were just over $200 for the most part.  If you can find a trunk show for Jim Hjelm, there is usually a 10-15% discount for ordering at the trunk show (that's the same for any designer doing a trunk show).

You might want to check out Aria Bridesmaids (www.ariadress.com).  We used them and were really happy with the experience.  They have a bunch of different styles to choose from in lots of colors and I thought their prices were pretty reasonable.  They have a store on Newbury St. in Boston - the person we worked with there was really helpful, but I believe they also have a "try-on program" if you can't make it to the actual store.  HTH! :)

I second Alfred Angelo, they have tons of options and tons of colors!!  We did the same thing, I choose a fabric (chiffon),  color(clover), length(tea), and let my girls pick what ever dress they wanted. They are all so happy and all the dresses are under $160.00

I have done that with Jim Hjelm dresses and it looked great. But Jim Hjelm is a little more expensive-- for the floor length chiffon dresses, with a group discount, it was still over $200 each. I might check out the Alfred Angelo dresses this weekend. Also Dessy has a ton of options and colors and isn't too expensive.

Don't forget J Crew has different sales going on all the time. I know I get a 20% off all dresses, or entire purchase, or some kind of discount email at least once a month. Also, see if any of your BMs or you qualify for an education discount-- you just need a valid .edu email address, good for teachers or students, 15% off full price items.

I second Aria dresses.  Also David's Bridal has many options!

At a recent wedding where I was a bridesmaid she did cocomyles.com and I loved it!! I actually wear the dress allthe time for work dinners. She paid for the fabric so we'd all have the same color and material and I designed my dress. It was absolutely fantastic! I paid $120 for mine, shipping took a little longer than expected but it fit perfect!
