We Got Our First Gift!

I have no idea... it's under the tree right now :o)

    I opened wedding gifts as they came and sent thank you notes so they knew it had arrived.  I didn't use any of the items until after the wedding, however.  Enjoy!!

    ditto PP, I would open and send TY as soon as you can.  But I think you can use it, if you want, before the wedding.

    I have a follow up question--what about gift cards?  We got several at our engagement party and then a few more at christmas, but I'm not sure if we should use them yet, or save them until after the wedding?

    RE: gift cards, I would save them until after the wedding, to see what else is left to buy off the registry.  The only exception is if you need to purchase something for the honeymoon.  I wouldn't consider it rude to use now, if you need/want to.

    Thanks mgoss, I was kind of thinking the same thing, that it would be cool to save them all up and figure out what is left on the registry at the end!

    We have been opening ours, but they are being sent to my parents home (on vashon, where the wedding is) and we live in Wenatchee so the actual opening goes in spurts.
