When to get your cake tasting on!

Hey girls! I havent been on here in a while!...not since the format change, haha!

We have 8 months to go and have gotten most of the big things out of the way. I was just wondering when you all suggest cake tasting/selection? I didnt know if it was too early, but didnt want to wait til it was too late! =)

    My FI and I are going this weekend :). Our wedding isn't until March 12, 2011 but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't go either. If we like them we'll probably book them then. I think you're fine going now :). And if you find someone/something you like then you'll have your cake planning done early!

    The sooner you get on their books the better. My daughter is getting married at the Farmer's Market in July! She tasted and booked last week.

    I know it's totally weird ... but this was one of the first things I did and our wedding is for like ever from now.  I already knew what I wanted and where I wanted it from though ... so I figured why wait?!  It was delish :)  Happy tasting!

    I went about 2 to 3 months after being engaged. Our wedding is in July and I didnt want to risk her being booked.

    THis is one of the last "big" things for us to do...I have been kind of saving the best for last...can't wait to get to it! Have fun and don't get hung up on if it is too early...enjoy!
