Good Morning!

Hello everyone :) I hope you had a great weekend! I had a nice relaxing one which is just what I needed after a stressful week at work, and here I'm heading into stressful work week part two ;)

I'm thinking that we should try to get this board more active. Any thoughts or suggestions?

MORNING!  Is it Friday yet?  :)  I can't tell if it's allergies or if I'm coming down with something more vile, but all I want to do is close my eyes and crawl back into bed.  Hope your week isn't too bad...

    How's everyone else's week?  What's new?  What's good?

Glad you had a good weekend. My body hurts everywhere. FH and I flipped, painted/cleaned, a one bedroom condo this weekend for a friend. We made about $700 towards our wedding fund so happy about.  Seriously have muscles that I never knew I had.
T&T hope you aren't getting sick. Its awful being sick during the summer. Although it isn't summer yet in WA.

Word! Ugh, I'm ready to work on my tan. I am sore today too, I ran 7 miles yesterday and my hips and thighs hurt! If anyone reading this has been to maui, did you do a snorkel trip to molokini? I was reading my maui revealed book last night and my gosh, there's so many boat options. Tripadvisor has good reviews for a company that takes you out on a small motorized raft, I'm considering that one. Any input is appreciated :)

I worked yesterday. BOO! But, that means I get Friday off and will have a 3 day weekend. YAY!

I have not been out to Molokini, yet. But I plan on it for our honeymoon. Let us know what you decide to go with and if it's any good when you get back.

I agree we could use something to get things moving around here. Not sure what though....

Hope we all get through this week quickly, on to next weekend and no one gets sick!

Sparkle, we may get tan this summer but it isn't going to be by the sun.
7 miles oh my.  Can't even comprehend that one.
We have been looking into the snorkeling to molokini also but will probably go with a larger boat and see who in our party wants to join in.  I don't think I can get FH into the water that far out but who knows he surprises me sometimes.

Good morning ladies!!  I just got a reminder in my email that I only have 11 days until we leave - how nice that I set that up a long time ago!!  :)

Sparkle - I haven't been on the Molokini boats, but I have heard that they aren't necessarily worth it.  We drive down to a spot past Makena and go snokeling in a nature preserve.  There are tons of everything, we usually get to swim with turtles and it's just amazing.  Plus, we aren't trapped on a boat for hours.  Some people really love the boat rides, but I have heard in the last few years that with all the boats that go out there that the sea life has suffered and it's not as great to go there as it used to be.  That said - I'm sure they are fun, we just prefer to be near land - something about jumping into crazy deep water is scary to me.

11 days until we leave - yay!!

We kept packing up teh house all weekend.  We're listing in July, so tyring to de-clutter.  I'm trying to figure out how we have so much stuff, but I guess when you combine 2 houses into 1, you end up with lots of things.  Other than that, trying to finalize some plans for the wedding, and making my kids write final exams!!  YAY Finals Week!!

Good afternoon ladies, time is just flying by...hope everyone had a great weekend..FI and I played golf with my dad yesterday...it was really fun!

Sparkle and Kimmy...i've done Molokini a few times...i recommend it...i think i've gone three times...at least twice...with Maui Dive Shop.  If you're staying in the south it is extra convenient as they leave from the doc there thus less travel time in the water...they are usually the first or second boat to arrive, they use a small boat and the trip is less than 3 hours i believe and they provide light snacks. Not a luxe trip...this time i plan to go with Trilogy.  Do the early morning trip as the water is always calmer in the morning.  HTH! J. :-)

Good afternoon!  My weekend was pretty jam packed.  I'm so tired right now that I keep nodding off.  I'm dreaming of a double shot frap right now.  Friday night i went to try on wedding gowns, Saturday I went and picked up my new addition to the family, a Weimaraner puppy, we named her Maus.  She's a wrinkly bundle of joy.

Sunday went Stand Up Paddling at the beach with FI and some friends, that was a great work out and poor FI got the tops of his feet sunburned.  That's Scandinavian blood for you.... don't know what to do with him when we get to Maui.

Hm, I have so many 1-line responses / reactions to this thread...

OMG AKWB...11 days?  It's coming so fast!  YAY!

Sparkle...my brain hurts even THINKING about 7 miles.  Once upon a time, I would run 7-10 a day.  Pretty sure I wouldn't last even 7 minutes right now though.

Brea...some boards have a lot of 'daily checkin' posts.  Things like 'what's on the menu" or "post your workout" or something.  I've also seem 'book club' type things where we'll pick a book for the month and talk about it (but it can be hard to avoid things like spoilers).  I'm open to all sorts of suggestions...I love that we feel much more like a community of gals rather than just strangers posting for advice. :)

Molokini - I cannot remember which boat we went with, but it wasn't worth it.  They took us to the "outer side" of Molokini -- not sure if that's why the snorkeing wasn't good at all.  We did later cruise down south toward Makena I think and it was much better.  So I second AKWB's suggestion and try to head south...

MAUS!!!!  OMG, I love her.  More pictures, PLEASE!

Are we actually discussing books in this said book club, or just drinking wine??  ;)
