My fiance is from a small town in the middle of nowhere, the closest airport is about 3-4 hours away. We are also having an August wedding and as teachers it's a very popular time for vacations. So we want to send our save the dates out closer to 9 months ahead so his friends and family have time to make/ start thinking about travel arrangments. But this would me we are sending save the dates out when everyone is sending Christmas cards, which I'm not thrilled with becuase my own family lost alot of mail during the holidays when I was growing up. Anyway, would it be too soon to send them out in October/Novemeber or should we wait till February/March?
