Wedding Venues in Columbus Ohio BYOB

Hi girls!! I've just started planning my wedding for next summer and I'm having a hard time finding a venue in Columbus, OH. We're planning on having 150 guests and we would like a venue that is BYOB because we are working on a tight budget. The alcohol packages are rediculous here and this is the only way we can provide alcohal without having a cash bar. I looked into Walters Commons at St. Charles and fell in love, however others are saying the space is just too large for less than 175. Any suggestions for venues!!?!??! Please help!

The Loft or the Venue at Smith Brothers. They charge for mixers and such but you provide all your own alcohol. Good luck!

I think North Bank Park and the columbus athenaeum do, and I know the Olde Gahanna Sancutary does.

Ours is at Walter Commons, I don't think it would be too big because we're looking at about 200-220, and I saw it with tables set up for 220 and it looked fine.

BUT....if you are looking to book for next summer, our date was the last one available for June-August 2012 when we booked.  Of course, something could always open up though!

We also checked out the Columbus Athenaeum, and they had a few different rooms for a reeption that size.  FI wasn't as crazy about it but I liked it!

We used the Jessing Center which also is catered by Mass Appeal like some others you mentioned and BYOB.  We had just under 100 people and the space worked out well.

I forgot one more: the Swim and Racquet Club in Upper Arlington.  It is really cheap to rent ($500 for non-members), and looks really nice from the pictures they have posted on their website.

I just reserve the Olde Gahanna Sanctuary for my October 2012 wedding for that very reason. They let you bring in the caterer of your choice, and your own alcohol. The venue is absolutely beautiful as well!
