Amanda - My FI's command always has Fridays off unless its a duty weekend, in fact they gave them today off too. But I have to work tomorrow morning bright and early. It's just a little bothersome that they had to do it on a Thursday, I know there were a couple other wives from the shop who have work tomorrow who weren't too happy about it. And I find it a little weird that they waited so long to do it, most are the first week of december but they waited until right before first christmas leave to throw it.. we actually leave tomorrow for KY and VA for the holidays. It's a new command for us this year but I don't know.. I guess I'm just more irked by FI's response to it than it actually being on a Thursday. KWIM?

Oh and I totally agree about Bridezillas - those girls are just insane. I would of hit someone upside the head if I were ever treated like that. I can't begin to imagine even treating someone like that.. its just horrible. I think more or less they film them and take the worse clips they have on camera and piece it together... I can't imagine someone acting that way 24/7. Ughh... that'd be miserable.

I'm watching this show on Lifetime. I think it's new... but it's called "I'm getting Married and...". It's kind of like that MTV show "True Life:". Anyway, the first episode I just caught the tail end of, but it was something about polygamy with some really unattractive women. This one features 2 brides, one with a "tiny" budget, and one with "an unlimited budget" . The girl with the smaller budget ($2,000) is so sweet and humble, but the girl with the unlimited budget basically just told me that my entire wedding was tacky. She's like "I don't really know how much it costs.. and I don't care" She pisses me off and I want to throw my left shoe at her. Actually I want to take the bratty Bride's unlimited budget away from her and give it to the other Bride.. She and her H ran a 10 mile Race the morning of their wedding because she couldn't afford a gift for him.. It made me cry a little bit. and then it made me feel guilty for eating 2 cookies, so I'm getting ready to go for a run!! haha

ETA: OMG!!! This show is a train wreck. I can't stop watching it!!! The bratty bride just pitched a fit about the flowers in her hair, so now her wedding planner has to follow her around and switch out her flowers throughout the night. She and her H said they wouldn't exchange gifts and then gave him one anyway (a $1000 pocketwatch.. that her dad paid for) so then he went out and got her one and she was like "I bet he just went to the gift shop and got this.. ugh". In the end she tried to redeem herself by saying "At the end of the day, all that matters is that we were married... the rest was all just gravy.. we just had a lot of gravy" The budget bride came in under her budget too!! and she looked stunning!! Her H is in the NG too, so she was one of us!!!!!

I am going to punch a coach in the face. Seriouslly I am going to. How about not waiting until three days before the university closes for winter break to recruit a student. Then want me to jump though hoops and get the stupid transfer work in. UGH...you could not recruit this student say in OCTOBER?????

There is wayyy to much for me to complain about.
1- Work is extremely stressful lately and we've been so busy. It really angers me that I've gotten no recongization (sp) from my boss about how hard I've been busting my tail end.

2. I'm really pissed that FI's commands Christmas party is tonight. I get why they hold it on Thursdays here (in VA - they were on Fridays) but still I find it really disrespectful to those who do have to work on Friday morning. Add on top that FI thinks he is going to go out and continue partying at his friends house afterwards. We got into it last night about this and i'm just to the point where I don't want to go.

3. I have been kind of out of it lately, and FI have been bickering a bit. And I'm just tired... so tired of the bickering and whatnot. I really just want a vacation from life. I can't tell you the last time I had time for myself to just breath let alone relax.

I was watching Bridezilla’s on Netflix, I have never watched it before and I was so angry by the end of one episode I never want to watch it again. WTF is wrong with those women? Good LORD, I don’t understand how those men could put up with those women. The episode I watched one bride was kicking people out of the BP because the BM was sick for 2 days and couldn’t be at her side 24/7 and the other bride was crying at the drop of a hat. My FI would drop me like a hot potato if I acted even remotely like that. Heck, I would break it off it I acted like that.

Who says that behavior okay? I just want to slap those women clear into next year. Wedding planning should not be THAT stressful!

amh- FI's Christmas party is tonight too...I just remembered you were in JAX too, Ha! If they go to the Christmas party they get tomorrow off. Does your FI's command not do the same thing?

I would really like FI's family to stop treating me like I'm a spoiled brat for wanting an actual wedding. In a church. It's 4-5 more months, it's important to both of us and we're not going to elope in the next 2 weeks and have a big fake wedding later. Not gonna happen.

Oh Sami! I'm going to have to watch it!! What channel does it come on? I've got 11 hours to kill tomorrow so I'll definitely be watching that on the car ride!!

Edit: I just re read your post and saw its Lifetime.
