JP recommendations?

We seem to be having a hard time finding a Justice of the Peace.  There is a vast difference in price and we're not sure what to do.  Can anyone recommend a JP?  Thanks!

Madelyne Mansfield married my brother and his wife. She did a great job and didn't charge them anything because my brother is active Army. Her fees are negotiable, according to her website. http://www.weddingwire.com/biz/madelyne-mansfield-connecticut-justice-of-the-peace-west-haven/68236b9e8d3c0b10.html

We used Judy Martone Peluso for our wedding. She charges $400, but we were in desperate need of a JP 5 weeks before the wedding. She did a great job and we were very pleased.

Mary Ann Overbough was our JP.  We were able to create our own ceremony and ejoyed Mary Ann's day of service.

Dr. Alan C. Skidgell, of Newington. He's absolutely amazing- and quite possibly one of the most giving people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. He's incredibly understanding of Military situations ( He is doing our civil ceremony on Tues. and isn't charging based on His long standing history as an Army Vet.) He does ALL types of ceremonies and gives you the option of what you would like most in his presentation. (860) 666-1015. He only charges base on any cost that is occurred to him, and isn't based on time.
Good luck, Wishing you the best on your day :-)

We are using Sara Carson and absolutely love her! She gave us a lot of ideas for our ceremony. Her price is very reasonable as well.

I second Sara Carson, we met with her this morning (thanks to another CT Knottie, Carrie's recommendation!)  and she was really sweet and very reasonably priced.

we loooooved our JP...she did an amazing job with our ceremony and was very flexible when plans changed last minute and everything.  we got so so many compliments!  i thought we paid a good price, and $50 of the price went to an animal charity (which is really what made me select her...i'm an animal lover like crazy!!)

her name is Cami Rosenberg Dews, and her website is http://queenofideas.com/

I'm throwing in another vote for Sara Carson!  I absolutely adore her and her rates are better than 99% of the other JPs I interviewed.

Thanks everyone for your help.  Unfortunately Sara Carson is booked for my day, but  I will check out the others.

So many are already booked for my day too. Ugh this is the toughest find so far! I just spoke on the phone to Rene Carle she is on the knot recommended vendor list. She seemed really nice and well priced so we will be meeting with her soon. Some people I spoke to were telling me anywhere from 250-700 I was shocked that is just outrageous for a short ceremony. Good luck!

Carla Marciano has been amazing to work with.  She is so generous with her bride and groom.  I highly recommend her.  PM me if you would like her contact information,  she only has an email :)
