DJ Do not play list??

I have a few songs to hand over to the DJ as a "Do Not Play List" but am wondering what songs you may have that I may have forgotten?

Additionally, what other songs are you really wanting your DJ/band to play for you that you love?

TIA!

    do NOT play:
    Billy Idol: White Wedding
Chicken Dance or any sort of group/line dance (includes NO electric slide, cha cha slide, etc)
    B 52's
We gave our DJ a guideline of the type of music we like
    No hard core rap
Not a huge fan of Frank Sinatra or jazzy type music either

    Play:
Estelle: American Boy (I just love this song)
    Journey: Don't stop Believin'
Chris Brown: Forever (even though the YouTube sensation stole this song...I still love it)

I second the no group or line dancing.  You don't want the drunks or the middle aged women who think they are hot trying to do a dance together!

I told the DJ that if he plays Ice Ice Baby he will not be getting paid - no joke!  Also, I'm tired of "Amazed" by Lonestar so that is on our list.  Songs like Hnky Tonk Badonkadonk are definitely not happening either.  There also won't be any rap or other music that has cursewords (not that most DJs would probably play those).  Personally, I probably will do just the electric slide because it will get a lot of people on the dance floor, but I won't be doing "We Are Family"  or "YMCA," etc.  Don't worry about it too much though...

Definitely NO line dances or cliche wedding songs.  So basically, I want to say - any song that you play at a wedding, just because it's a wedding, leave it out.  Play what they'd play if it was a party they were working, plus our "must-plays"...

I agree with valerie- nothing too cheesy or the same stuff we've heard at every other wedding we've been to. We also said NO COUNTRY or really hard core hip hop. Of course we want our guests to be dancing and enjoying themselves, but it's also about showing our personalities through the music. Some of  our "must-plays" include "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (our bridal party intro), "Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop" by Landon Pigg, "Sugarfoot" by Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, "I Still Remember" from Bloc Party, "Sweet Disposition" from the Temper Trap (will likely use as our cake cutting), and some standards like "Something Stupid" by Frank and Nancy Sinatra, "Unforgettable" by Natalie and Nat King Cole, "Beyond the Sea" from Bobby Darrin, and "A Kiss to Build a Dream On" by Louis Armstrong. I basically gave our DJ a list.
