Wedding vendors?

Hi everyone! I am new to The Knot and thought I would jump on here and get some information from you girls. I wrote our proposal story on my bio in case anyone is interested :) We are still in the process of making a website, but hopefully that'll be up soon.

We just got engaged about a month ago and are starting to look around for vendors. We have already talked to a few photographers and are pretty sure we are set on that. We are looking for caterer, videographer, coordinator...what else am I missing? Pretty much everything major! :)

Thanks girls!

Congrats and welcome!!! What photographer have you all decided on?!

As far as coordinators, we are using Jaclyn Fraser from At Last wedding events and design and she is brilliant! I definitely recommend you contact her.

For caterers, a big on on here is Arthurs! Anyone you work with is fantastic. The food is just delicious and their service at a tasting I went to was amazing. Just look at their reviews lol. Also, I would suggest looking at John Michael events, he is more on the affordable side and I think I just mentioned to another bride that he has a tasting coming up in 2 weeks, so you could have a chance to "taste" his food!

We talked to a few but are most likely going with Sivan Photography. I have heard of At Last Weddings and John Michael...I'll look into both! How do the tastings work? Is it a group thing? Thank you so much!

    Congrats and welcome!!!  =D

Molly Brown from Cinnematique is very well know and a very good videographer.

Oh how awesome! I just met with Sivan and she was amazing! Her work is really beautiful too. And as for the tasting I went to at Arthurs, they had a time frame and you could come whenever you want. And then they have different stations set up all throughout their building! We had bananas foster dessert, a few different chicken dishes, some appetizers and honestly speaking, some of the best food I have ever had! And, I am SUCH a picky eater. Now for John Michaels, it is a group one too but he does his over at Leu Gardens. I also think he has several different vendors that he works with there as well. Definitely worth checking out now so you can at least taste his food to get a feel :). He does them every other month as well.

For Photographer I have heard great things about Sivan as well... some others are Tyson and Julia Photography and RBF Photography (Rebecca Fulton).

I am still looking for a videographer... so I cant really recommend anyone there.

The coordinator we have is through www.PremierButterflyEvents.com.

Caterer is also iffy... we keep going back and forth. Depending on who we use, we may need a bartending service. If so, we are using Mobile Mixers.

Good luck with the planning and Congratulations!

I definitely recommend Sivan! My husband and I were very, very happy with her work. Here's a link to my wedding pics from her:

I am using Scoobie for photography. He was highly recomended and does great work.

Puff N Stuff is one the most expensive but also one the most versitle and delicious vendors out there.

using Lee Forest for flowers, he is so creative!

If you want a coordinator I recomend Ashlie from Weddings in the City. Amazing team and it is like coordinating with a friend!

What about a DJ? We are using Jay from Liquid entertainment. He DJs for a radio show and works with the Orlando Magic.

Cake? We are using Cupcake crazy in Lake Mary, they have oustanding flavors and good pricing, they make cakes not just cup cakes. Cut the Cake I thought was very good too.

For photographer I am using Elegant Imagery,

Have you picked a venue yet? I'm a Lake Mary Events Center bride and couldn't be happier! We are doing ours on a Thursday and it's only $1,200 for 6-11pm

I haven't decided on anything else, but for caterers these are my top 3: Puff N Stuff, Cuisiniers, and Arthur's.

Ticked Pink Brides is by far the best coordinator! You cannot go wrong with any of the ladies working there.
