19 days to go and freaking out!!

19 days to go for Sept 23 Brides!!!

I'm trying to keep calm. I know I don't have THAT much left to do.. but I still feel a little overwhelmed with these last little details. I keep telling myself whatever I decide and whatever happens, everything will come together and be FINE! My bridesmaids and sister have been so great to offer their help but at this point its mainly decisions we have to make...So here is what we have left to do...

VENDOR STUFF:

Pick important songs *having a hard time with this!* and send them to DJ. (First dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son)

Send final decision for piano songs. (Pianist)

Finalize ceremony script (add songs) and send to. (Officiant)

Email Florist to confirm things/ Pick flower for groom and groomsmen boutineer.

Make final payments to vendors.

THINGS TO GET:

Get lingerie and garter set.

Get alcohol (whiskey, vodka and wine)

Get Champagne and snacks for bridal room/Get Whiskey and snacks for groom room.

THINGS TO DO:

Find hair stylist :(

Apply for marriage license and take application to court.

Make table numbers/Seating chart and table number poster.

Assign someone to take all gifts and dress etc after wedding.

Book wedding night hotel room.

SO much to do! At least my list has gotten smaller, it was much longer.

Re: 19 days to go and freaking out!!

  • My advice is to take any help that is offered to you! Hoping you have a wedding party that is helpful and can take some of the stress off.

My one piece of advice is that if you can trust your friends and family to help figure out some of that stuff, you'll be less stressed. I realized the day of that I hadn't asked anyone to make sure to pick up all the gifts/cards/table decorations/photbooth supplies, etc but it still happened because I had awesome people looking out for me. A lot of things just fell into place because the vendors (including some you've listed here - DJ, officiant, pianist) took the lead and I kind of just resigned myself to let it happen. And everything was ok!
  • I agree with PP. If there are people offering to help, delegate what you can rather than trying to do everything yourself!
  • Definitely agree with PP.  Specifically, I'd delegate

-getting alcohol (including champagne and whiskey for getting-ready-rooms)
    -Making table numbers
-booking hotel room (as long as you know where you want to stay)
and I'd have friends call around to help find stylists who are still available and then have them do some reseach (Yelp) to find out if they have good reviews...you'll have to make the ultimate decision but having someone do the leg work is the most time-consuming
