  What's the point of your post exactly? Do you not like a "white winter" wedding theme?
  
  I had a winter wedding and wore a white dress...but my wedding wasn't all white - it was mostly green and brown since I got married in Ireland.
  
  I could see getting married at a ski resort or on top of a snow covered mountain. Getting married during the winter months (especially in places where it snows) can save a couple a lot of money too (it did for my H and I).
  
  DIfferent strokes for different folks.

  I live in a popular destination wedding ski town. I didn't get married in the winter, because it's frequently very difficult to fly in and out of here in the winter. I didn't want my family to be delayed because of a blizzard or have my 75 y.o. mom slip and fall on ice. If your guests were mostly local/used to those conditions it would be fine, but a lot of my family and friends are Floridians and probably would have bailed.

  I got married in the fall, but winter was a close second for time of year.  Why do I like winter?  I love the cold, the snow, the crisp air.  I'm not a summer person.  In fact I joke to my students that I'm allergic to sweat and that is why summer should be outlawed, school all year!
