Getting in Shape

6 inches in 2-3 month

Hello all...so I have a problem. I have to lose about 6 inches to fit into my dress. I have been working out and eating well. I have lost 25 lbs since October. Is it possible to lose these inches. Just wanted some input

  • Weight lifting will help you out significantly moreso than just doing cardio. Make sure you're eating enough in a day - use a site like myfitnesspal.com to track your progress with inches/lbs and ensure you're getting the proper nutrition YOU need to lose weight.

  • Thanks...I have been doing more cardio than weight lifting but I have recently starting kettlebell workouts...man are those a workout. I have been tracking my food and exercise on loseit.com and that really helps...I just need to fit into my dress becasue I am not buying another one...lol
  • I need to lose a few inches in the next couple months to fit in my dress too.  I have been tracking my calories in sparkpeople and trying to workout 5-6 days/week.

Where are you in the Boston area?  I live in Woburn, MA.  If you want someone to help keep you accountable, let me know.  I could definitely use any help I can get and would like to help others too.

  • I've been using sparkpeople to help keep me on track. I've been doing some crunches and they seem to be helping with some of the inches, not all of them but at least a little. I need to keep up on my workouts to, I'm not buying another dress and I fit into it when I bought it and I'll fit into it when it's the big day.
  • I would love that...I;m not sure where Woburn is...Im new to Mass but I live in Hyde Park right now. Is that near?

  • You are about 25 minutes away.  Woburn is about 10 miles north of Boston.
