Re-dyeing already dyed shoes?

I wonder how well that would work. I have a pair of shoes from a wedding I was in that are dyed ivory and I love them but I would really like to dye them blue for my wedding. I'd think as long as I go with a darker color (like from ivory to blue) it should work out alright. Anyone have experience with having shoes re-dyed?

I haven't had experience with it - you may want to check with a professional before doing so though.

Going from ivory to blue, I would think would be fine, though I would think the color might be slightly different if you went from white to blue (not sure how much of a difference it would make though).

Hopefully someone will be able to provide more insight :)

I've done it.  As long as the original color was light, re-dying works great.
